OBJECTION!

The drawing acts as a political statement, both exposing and resisting the unseen powers that the City holds on London’s clubbing community here in 2019. The document, an objection letter to the request of a 24/7 operational license, is printed across the dancefloor in chalk paint, a medium specifically chosen for it’s ephemerality. When the music stops, the punters leave and the lights switch on there is very little evidence left of the documents existence. You can restrict our operational hours, you can close our beloved clubs, you can push us out of the city, but we are still here, we will still exist, and we will still dance.
